We’re getting married!

We’re so excited that you’ll be joining us! On this site you’ll find all the information you’ll need to know about our wedding.

Also - we need some more information from you, so please click the button below to fill out a quick form to help us plan!

Our Schedule:

Pre-wedding: Saturday 29 July

**UPDATED VENUE** The weather remains a little uncertain so we think it will be safer and more comfortable to move the picnic to our apartment. We have plenty of space and it will be easier to manage catering here. There's a separate room for kids, and more comfortable seating than in a park.

Full address and transport options have been email to you. Timing is the same, around 2-5:30pm - and please feel free to come and go any time throughout the afternoon.

We have plenty of food and drink so don't worry about bringing much, unless you'd like something specific. There is a Sainsbury's across the road and M&S 5 minutes away if you do want to pick anything up.

Wedding day: Sunday 30 July

All the main festivities will be on Sunday 30 July in Central London.

12pm (for a 12:30pm start)

We’ll start with our ceremony and drinks in Holland Park. After the ceremony we’d like you all to join in taking some fabulous photos in the gardens around the park (we might even be able to get some peacocks to show up!).

3:30 - 6pm:

You’ll have some free time - you can have a nap, change outfits, explore all the wonderful museums nearby or join us at our next venue - The Conduit in Covent Garden - for drinks and games!

6pm - 1am:

We’ll be kicking-off the evening with a cocktail on the rooftop at The Conduit - followed by dinner, speeches and even a quiz! The evening entertainment will start around 9pm.

Post-wedding: Monday 31 July

1pm: Join us for brunch at Greenberry Hill in Belsize Park.

Travel

If you’re flying to London Heathrow, take the new Elizabeth line to get from Heathrow into central London. If you’re flying into London’s other airports then check out this great guide.

Parking around the venues will be difficult, but not impossible. Paid parking is available in Regent’s Park for the picnic. There is free parking outside Holland Park on Sunday (for the ceremony) although very little in Covent Garden for the dinner. If possible we recommend not bringing a car into central London and using public transport or taxis.

Accommodation

Affordable: There are a number of Z Hotel locations near the dinner/party venue that offer affordable rooms (with and without windows!). The closest ones are: Covent Garden, The Strand, Trafalgar and Soho.

Mid-range: check out the citizenM hotels in London - they have 4 locations and are all about 20-30 mins from the venues. The rooms are a bit quirky, but very comfortable so if you haven’t stayed here before, check out their room info here.

Luxury: Our favourites near the venue: Dean Street Townhouse and NoMad. Want to really treat yourself? check out this list!

Registry

We don’t expect or need any material objects, and many of you are spending a lot just to get here and stay over. So please feel free to consider your presence as your gift to us. If anyone wants to make an additional gesture, there are two options:

  1. We have set up a registry at Choose Love, a charity through whom you can provide some of the things that refugees around the world desperately need to survive and have a life of dignity. This is a cause that is hugely important to the both of us.

  2. For those of you who might want to give to a more grassroots organisation, then please donate to this fundraising drive run by the Iranian Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation where Maryam is a Patron. They need support to repair and refurbish a newly-secured nine-bedroom refuge, providing a safe space for women and girls fleeing abuse.

Anything you give will make a difference.

Dress code

Dress code: dress to impress (but have fun and be comfortable!) It will probably be hot and it is a long day, so feel free to have multiple outfits - we will be!
